Cate Blanchett is well known for her quirky and unique style and it has helped her win huge fan following. On April 21, 2016, as she stepped out of the Haneda Airport in Ōta, Tokyo, she was certainly dressed to impress in her characteristic androgynous look. The famous Australian actress opted to go for all black ensemble with button down shirt, blazer and tailored trousers as she touched down in Japan for the promotion of her movie – Carol.
Trousers, Button Down Shirt and Blazer
The 46 year old actress was in mood to experiment as she opted to go for all black look inspired by unisex dressing style. She wore black button down shirt with top buttons left open to tease a hint of her cleavage. She had paired her shirt with tailored black trousers, which highlighted her long pins even despite lacking figure hugging design. She had tucked her shirt neatly in her trousers and belted it over to highlight her very slender waist. Also, she gave a slight modern makeover to her trousers by rolling up hem cuffs just above her ankle. She polished off her classy off duty with an elegant black blazer, which seemed to be a size bigger for her lithe figure.
She rounded off her gorgeous off duty look with a pair of black platform boots. The thick wedge style white soles of her boots helped her salvage couple of inches lost in slight baggy design of her trousers.
Handbag and Sunglasses
Cate accessorized her elegant and bold ensemble with a pair of retro inspired shades. Her rose tinted shades had double rims and bow tie shape. She also carried a lime green handbag, which she had cross strapped across her body.
Cate opted to keep her look completely devoid of bling to keep her appearance understated and casual.
Cate decided to go for understated make up theme to complement her classy minimalistic look. She slicked her thin lips with bright pink shade and touched up her flawless complexion with subtle dusting of rosy blush.
